We recommend E. coli for speed & low cost (antigens, simple proteins). Mammalian for complex, glycosylated or membrane proteins. Insect for VLPs or when moderate glycosylation is acceptable. Cell-Free for toxic or difficult-to-express proteins. Contact us for a free recommendation based on your sequence.
2. What transmembrane protein platforms do you offer?
We offer three specialized platforms: VLP platform (virus-like particles), Detergent platform (detergent-solubilized), and Synthetic Nanodisc platform. For full-length transmembrane proteins, we also provide Cell-Free expression as a rapid option. Each is optimized for different downstream applications including immunization, drug screening, and structural biology.
3. What is the estimated cost & turnaround?
Cost depends on system, yield, purity requirements. Typical ranges: Bacterial from $800, Mammalian from $2,500+, Cell-Free from $1,500+. Turnaround: 2–8 weeks. We provide a fixed quote upfront.
