Function
Venom endo-hyaluronidase that acts as a spreading factor by hydrolyzing hyaluronic acid (HA) in the extracellular matrix, aiding diffusion of other venom components.
Biological Context
Subcellular Location: Secreted
Tissue Specificity: Expressed in the venom glands of worker bees. Is also detected in the testes of drones but not in the queen-bee venom glands or in pupae (at transcript level)
