Function

Functions as an agonist of NF-kappa B activation through the orphan IL-1-receptor-related protein 2/IL1RL2. Part of the IL-36 signaling system that is thought to be present in epithelial barriers and to take part in local inflammatory response; similar to the IL-1 system with which it shares the coreceptor IL1RAP.

Protein Biology

Function

Functions as an agonist of NF-kappa B activation through the orphan IL-1-receptor-related protein 2/IL1RL2. Part of the IL-36 signaling system that is thought to be present in epithelial barriers and to take part in local inflammatory response; similar to the IL-1 system with which it shares the coreceptor IL1RAP (By similarity). Seems to be involved in skin inflammatory response by acting on keratinocytes, dendritic cells and indirectly on T-cells to drive tissue infiltration, cell maturation and cell proliferation. May play a role in pro-inflammatory responses during particular neutrophilic airway inflammation. May be involved in the innate immune response to fungal pathogens. Induces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs), including IL-12, Il-1 beta, IL-6, TNF and IL-23. Involved in dendritic cell maturation by stimulating the surface expression of CD80, CD86 and MHC class II. Induces the production of IFN-gamma, IL-4 and IL-17 by cultured CD4(+) T-cells and splenocytes

Subcellular Location

Cytoplasm; Secreted

Subunit

Interacts with cargo receptor TMED10; the interaction mediates the translocation from the cytoplasm into the ERGIC (endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment) and thereby secretion

Gene: Il36g  |  Organism: Mus musculus  |  Synonyms: Interleukin-1 family member 9

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order or inquire about this product?

Fill out the Online Inquiry form with your required quantity and specifications. You can also email sales@biocrestsci.com. Our team typically responds within 4 business hours with a quote and availability confirmation.

What is the shipping and delivery time?

Orders placed before 2 PM EST ship the same day. Domestic (US) delivery typically takes 2-3 business days. International orders deliver within 5-10 business days. All products are shipped at ambient temperature with appropriate packaging to ensure stability.

How should I store this recombinant protein?

Lyophilized proteins should be stored at -20°C to -80°C upon receipt. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Shelf life is 12 months from date of receipt when stored as recommended.

What quality controls are performed on your products?

Each product undergoes SDS-PAGE purity analysis (typically >85-95%), endotoxin testing, and bioactivity validation. Products are validated for ELISA, Western Blot, and SPR/BLI applications as specified on this product page. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is available upon request.
