Function
Is a methyltransferase active in RNA capping and an RNA helicase. Methyltransferase displays a cytoplasmic capping enzyme activity. This function is necessary since all viral RNAs are synthesized in the cytoplasm, and host capping enzymes are restricted to the nucleus.
