Function

Forms a double layer around the helical nucleocapsid, the inner matrix layer binding to the N helix and the outer matrix layer binding to the envelope glycoprotein. Plays a major role in assembly and budding of virion, by recruiting cellular partners of the ESCRT complexes that play a key role in releasing the budding particle from the host membrane (Probable). Condensates the ribonucleocapsid core during virus assembly.

Product Specifications

Recombinant Vesicular stomatitis Indiana virus Matrix protein (M) is a recombinant protein, expressed in E.coli, covering amino acids 1-229aa, with N-terminal 10xHis-tagged and C-terminal Myc-tagged tag, molecular weight 33.5kDa, purity Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.. Function

Forms a double layer around the helical nucleocapsid, the inner matrix layer binding to the N helix and the outer matrix layer binding to the envelope glycoprotein (PubMed:35476516, PubMed:35970826). Plays a major role in assembly and budding of virion, by recruiting cellular partners of the ESCRT complexes that play a key role in releasing the budding particle from the host membrane (Probable) (PubMed:15220457, PubMed:16188963, PubMed:22190013). Condensates the ribonucleocapsid core during virus assembly (PubMed:35970826). Inhibits the host mRNA nuclear export thereby inducing the shut off of cellular transcription and preventing the interferon signaling and the establishment of antiviral state in infected cells (PubMed:15629720, PubMed:33849972). This shutoff presumably inhibits interferon signaling and thus establishment of antiviral state in virus infected cells (PubMed:33849972). Induces cell-rounding, cytoskeleton disorganization and apoptosis in infected cell (PubMed:15629720). Inhibits host transcription, possibly through interaction with host DNA repair factor IIH/TFIIH GTF2H5 subunit (PubMed:28888655)

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order or inquire about this product?

Fill out the Online Inquiry form with your required quantity and specifications. You can also email sales@biocrestsci.com. Our team typically responds within 4 business hours with a quote and availability confirmation.

What is the shipping and delivery time?

Orders placed before 2 PM EST ship the same day. Domestic (US) delivery typically takes 2-3 business days. International orders deliver within 5-10 business days. All products are shipped at ambient temperature with appropriate packaging to ensure stability.

How should I store this recombinant protein?

Lyophilized proteins should be stored at -20°C to -80°C upon receipt. After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Shelf life is 12 months from date of receipt when stored as recommended.

What quality controls are performed on your products?

Each product undergoes SDS-PAGE purity analysis (typically >85-95%), endotoxin testing, and bioactivity validation. Products are validated for ELISA, Western Blot, and SPR/BLI applications as specified on this product page. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is available upon request.
