Function
Probably catalyzes the addition of a phosphoethanolamine moiety to lipid A. Phosphoethanolamine modification of lipid A confers polymyxin resistance. Confers resistance to polymyxin-type antibiotics such as colistin; in the E.coli strain W3110.
Biological Context
Subcellular Location: Cell inner membrane (Multi-pass membrane protein)
